From open until close, TOCA Chino Hills was buzzing with soccer fanatics and families having a great time at our Grand Opening Event!
Over 750 people attended and the energy of the community couldn’t be ignored when we opened our eleventh training center – TOCA Chino Hills.
Players of all ages experienced TOCA Training first-hand while the younger kids had a chance to try out a TOCA Juniors class.
Caitlyn Schrepfer, the #1 female freestyler in the U.S. impressed everyone with her juggling moves and Los Angeles pro players and Eric Lopez and Mark-Anthony Kaye came to hang out and sign autographs for the players.
There were cheers as everyone watched the ceremonial ribbon cutting with speeches by TOCA CEO Yoshi Maruyama, Chairman Tom Denison, Founder Eddie Lewis, and Chino Hills Mayor, Art Bennett.
“We chose Chino Hills because of you guys,” said Denison. “There’s a great soccer community, it’s a great place for families, and we think we can work together to build a community centered around people having fun.”
The day ended with seven teams competing in a 6v6 futsal tournament where one team emerged as the winner and every team had a great time playing.
All of this happened at the new and improved 24,000 square foot TOCA Chino Hills Training Center that’s built to bring the community together for one reason: to enjoy the best parts of soccer.
The state-of-the-art training center features two turf fields and one futsal court, with programs and leagues for all ages and skill levels.
There are ten TOCA Training studios, where players get hundreds of repetitions from the Touch Trainer, our soccer ball machine. Each training session, players use our technology and get one-on-one attention from a trainer to help guide their growth.
The mornings and weekends are packed with children and families having a riot at TOCA Juniors classes. For boys and girls ages 15 months to 9 years, TOCA Juniors helps kids build confidence, reach age-appropriate milestones, and have a blast doing it. This center also plans to have both youth and adult leagues as well as tournaments throughout the year.
Over the past year, TOCA has grown from four Training Centers to eleven across North America, with plans to continue expanding and furthering the love of soccer.
“We can’t be more thrilled to be a part of the Chino Hills community,” said CEO Yoshi Maruyama. “In the coming years, TOCA will continue to build communities that inspire everybody to play.”
